"It is in the Heart of Mankind that resides the Earth beauty, to see it you have to feel it.
C’est dans le Cœur des Hommes que réside le spectacle de la Nature, pour le voir, il faut le sentir."
Jean Jacques Rousseau 1712-1778
Community:
A group of organisms or populations living and interacting with one another in
a particular environment. The organisms in a community affect each other's
abundance, distribution, and evolutionary adaptation…
“Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development 1987.
To sustain: to maintain, to keep in existence, to nurture, to provide for, to support, to encourage, to withstand, to experience, to uphold, to keep up competently.
*“How to define my design approach, but by respect and care towards the site…”
Since my early student years, I have developed a holistic design approach that begins by a reading of the land: “une lecture de paysage”. The site in its context; natural environment, social and cultural environment has a story, a memory, that creates a frame for the design process to unfold and to propose creative and innovative solutions which take into account the four principles of sustainable architecture: cultural, social, environmental and economic.
The process is intuitive, holistic, and methodical; in gathering information
and parameters to
create the brief: client’s requirements, vision, stories, spaces,
budget, styles, sitting, site analysis, geotechnical report, local
council requirements, bush fire report, and more. The creative process
leads to design concept and design development while delivering high standard,
quality and unique design solutions. Read

*“the beauty of a place is more… it is vibrations and resonances. It soothes illness and sadness.”
The notion of sense of place, mindfulness of place, and building respectful relationships with clients always inspire the design process.
“The opportunity and responsibility to create sustainable, responsible and sensitive buildings in the natural environment, the built environment and the community.”
“Let ours be the time remembered for the awakening of a
new reverence for life, the firm resolve to achieve sustainability,
the quickening of the struggle for justice and peace, and the joyful
celebration of life”, the Earth Charter.
